Currently Watching: Mako Mermaids and Updates

It's been such a long time since I updated this section on my blog. I watch so many shows that I'd rather just watch them instead of blog about it. However, I think I'll continue to blog if a series really interests me. I can also add in updates on the bottom of the post about other shows I'm watching.
I just saw "Mako Mermaids" under "Recently Added" on Netflix and screamed out of excitement. It is a sequel of "H2O" which is about three girls who become mermaids. I loved the series, probably because I love fantasy and also because it's set on the Gold Coast of Australia (top of my list of places I'd like to visit). I was also doing a school project on Queensland, Australia when I decided to watch the series.
It was very much a children's/teens' television series, that was a bit too childish at the beginning for me, but grew with time. Each Season was a slightly different storyline which was cool.
I'm pretty excited to watch Mako Mermaids as I personally was left wanting more at the end of H2O. Unfortunately, I really wanted to know what would happen with the original girls although their storyline was pretty over. Mako Mermaids sounds pretty different which is good. Instead of land girls turning into mermaids, this show has mermaids who protect the island and will try out the land I suppose. I'm currently wondering whether this is before or after H2O chronologically in their world.
According to Wikipedia, Mako Mermaids debuted on Network Ten as Mako: Island of Secrets on July 26, 2013. The same day the entire first half of the season debuted on Netflix. So, I suppose you get to watch way more faster if you have Netflix! The rest of the first season arrives on Netflix in September (not too long if you ask me!)
Anyways, aside from mermaids, I have just completed the first season of New Girl on Netflix. Still not sure if I want to watch the rest on Fox or just wait and see if Netflix uploads it.
Now as for what's currently airing on TV, I've been following Drop Dead Diva and Devious Maids. I'm so glad they renewed Drop Dead Diva instead of ending at last season's cliffhanger. I really want to know who Jane end's up with! I've been watching Devious Maids because it airs right after Drop Dead Diva on Lifetime and the commercials make it seem so intriguing! I don't particularly like how the show highlights the stereotype that Latinas are maids, but I'm glad that there is a prime time tv series with Latinas as the main cast. I've also been watching Baby Daddy and I just love that series. I think it's quite funny. They seem to be appearing out of order though.
Also, to end with, I am sad that Jane by Design from ABC Family was cancelled.
No wonder it hasn't come up in over a year. Wikipedia does have an explanation of what would have happened in Season 2 according to the writer.
Shows I'm especially excited to start back up again: Downton Abbey and Doctor Who. Nearly added The Walking Dead to that list, but I'm not anxiously awaiting it's return.
Whoa that was a lot of words, I congratulate you if you read all that through. Feel free to fangirl TV series with me. You can comment here or email me to shield others from spoilers if they haven't watched :)

June Birchbox - Late I know >_<

Hi all, sorry I forgot to post on Tuesday. I spent the day at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. They have great coasters!
Anyways, my boyfriend got me a 3-month Birchbox subscription for my birthday. *Thank you sweetheart!* It's quite late, but this is what I got in my June Birchbox.

Everything was packaged so nicely. I still have to think about what I'm going to do with the box. Believe it or not though, my favorite item wasn't a beauty product, but this group of postcards they included. That's because I actually collect postcards. I try to get one from every place I've been. I haven't been to these places from the Birchbox, but I love the designs and they'd be cute on my wall.

I don't see myself using the shaving cream as I got an epilator, but I will see. Face wipes are always useful, so I'm glad this was included. I personally am not a fan of Juicy couture's perfumes. I've smelled quite a bitt at stores, so I'm not even going to try this one. I may give it away to someone who likes their scents. I don't know that I will be keeping the nail polish as I have a similar shade and I haven't been able to wear nail polish anyways. I am excited about the sunblock though as I am trying to wear it everyday.

I got these welcome messages since it was my first Birchbox ever. Also, I think that's why there's a pink exclamation point slip. I suppose when you make the order as a gift, you can choose to include a message which they only add onto the receipt paper. Not very cute on Birchbox's part, but cute on the gifter's part. Just letting you know if you plan on gifting a subscription don't count on them including a cute little card. Although I'm not so excited about most of the individual products this month, I still love the gift. It's realy exciting to recieve a package in the mail too! Overall, it is a lovely gift to anybody interested in trying out new beauty products.

*And if you're ever reading this: Thank you Donnie!*

Outfit Post: Gothic Lolita

Please excuse the heart, I had a creepy smile (>_<)' I wore this on a trip to Japantown just for fun. I had always wanted to do a blackXgold color combo, but all I could do was black with gold accessories. One day I want to own either a black skirt or JSK with gold print. I don't have a dream piece yet though. I keep swaying between blackXsilver too when both those options are available.

My Picks: Vivi

I was recently re-reading my old Vivi magazine from 2011. I just wanted to share my favorite picks from the magazine. Although it is an old issue, there are still items/looks that are current to my personal style.

*These are not my pictures, they're owned by Vivi magazine

Firstly, pillbox hats are just so cute! I have been wanting one for a while because I think they add something so great to an outfit. I haven't decided on a color I'd like, just definitely not black like my hair as Idon't want it to blend in.

This coat is just so cute! I love the waistline it keeps and the cape part just seems so feminine and cute to me!

I love the whole feeling of this outfit, the colors, the patterns! I now want to wear scarfs with all of my dresses!

Now for shoes, I have been wanting black wedges to wear with everything. I like the comfort of wedges and straps plus they make me look taller and are cuter! I have always wanted T-straps as they seem so 1920's!

Do they seem comfortable to you?

I really just wanted to add these because they look like a sweater I own. I do like tops with graphics that look like I an wearing something though!

I cannot read Japanese and I am not familiar with the brands listed in the magazine, so if anyone knows of where I can find these items or similar ones, please let me know!

What have I been doing all this time?

Hello blog world!

It has been quite a few months since I last posted, but I promise I have not been completely away from the blog world. Even through all my neglect of this blog, I still think about it and take pictures with the intent of posting them here.
School and life had just kept me so busy. Now that I have found my laptop charger and organized my photos, I can actually have posts to write up! Also, I should have more time to start posting more regularly. It'll just be a little more time for me to get everything together.
I have also been reading up on other blogs. Sadly, it's very on and off of when I have time to comment though. I apologize if I haven't gotten back to anyone and that I haven't been commenting on your blogs.
I am also well aware of GFCs unfortunate passing. How are you all readig your blogs now? I used Google Reader/Newsify(the app) before. I am currently using the Feedly app. I synced it with GFC to transfer everything beforehand and I prefer reading on my phone as I am usually not on my laptop. I currently do not like it as much as Newsify, but that may be because I haven't quite figured out how to use it to it's full potential. I know I can continue using Newsify as they added a sync to Feedly feature, but I like the ability to categorize on Feedly. Sadly I could only organize categories etc. on the webpage and not on the app. I have previously tried Bloglovin, but The only drawback is having to read on the actual webpage. It takes up a bit more of my time that way, but it is nice seeing everybody's gorgeous webpages though.

So blog world, where do you read all of your bloglists now? And how do you keep up blogging when life has you really busy?
