{DIY} From Birchbox Boxes to Drawers // Organization

When you have a Birchbox subscription, you get a pretty cardboard box that all of your samples come in.

What I did was I found a shoebox that fit all 6 box halves and cut it so there would be three each would fit. (One side is larger than the other since the box halves aren't all the same size since it's top and bottom) With the shipping box, I cut out strips to hold each drawer up with and then a bigger piece to cover the bottom. I first put it together with a hot glue gun and then I taped it with masking tape to reinforce it.

There's plenty of other tutorials on youtube and on other blog sites though. You can always just search it up. I watched and read a few a long while ago and just winged it when I made this.

As you can see, I use it to store my make-up. There's a drawer each for overall face items, eye-liners/mascaras, blush/bronzers, lip gloss/lip stick, and two for eye shadows. I keep these drawers inside one dresser drawer with the rest of my make up things, jewelry, and hair supplies.

August Birchbox

Here's my August Birchbox and here's the list of contents:

I love the packaging on that shampoo, I'm pretty excited to try it. I usually brush my hair before showering to prevent having to deal with a ton of tangles. Sometimes, I'm in a rush and don't pre-brush, so I plan to try this detangling shampoo on one of those days. Moisturizer is always great, so I'm excited for that. I've never thought that I'd need fresh feet wipes, I think I'll just bring this along next time I go camping or to the beach. I've never received make-up before, so that was interesting. I did put in the beginning questionnaire that I'd prefer skincare products over makeup. I'm not a big eye shadow wear-er so I may give this to a friend. I'm so glad I got this lipstick because I've been wanting a new one!

Then, it came with this double sided fold out. It has plenty of ideas and also a coupon for Ann Taylor.

This is my last box of my 3-month subscription and I don't feel the need to purchase another one. It was a lovely gift from my boyfriend and I was always excited to see something come in the mail. I may purchase another subscription service in the future if I have more disposable income, but until then goodbye Birchbox.

July Birchbox

Now here's my July Birchbox! Even though now it's August. It didn't have a pink sleeve with an exclamation point this time, I suppose it's for first box subscriptions. Anyways, here's the list of contents:

This set was pretty exciting as I love most of it! I've been wanting to try out a new highlighter other than my E.L.F one. I don't imagine me using the bobby pins though as I don't really have much green in my closet, but they're such a pretty design! I've never tried a leave-in conditioner before, so this seems like a great way to try it out. I'm not sure how I'll like it though as I actually have oily hair, so more conditioner doesn't sound great. I like the sound UV protection though! The body cream is really the only thing I'm pretty sure won't get used. I'm pretty happy with my Aveeno, but these sound good for days when I run out. Face Cream was very much needed for me as well.

This month contained Suits picks which were the bobby pins and the Face cream. It also included a scratch card for a free deluxe mini with any full size product purchase or $25 plus purchase.
Next month will be my last box as I don't plan to buy another subscription anytime soon, I think I will try another provider if I do.
Please let me know if you're interested in reviews :)

June Birchbox - Late I know >_<

Hi all, sorry I forgot to post on Tuesday. I spent the day at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. They have great coasters!
Anyways, my boyfriend got me a 3-month Birchbox subscription for my birthday. *Thank you sweetheart!* It's quite late, but this is what I got in my June Birchbox.

Everything was packaged so nicely. I still have to think about what I'm going to do with the box. Believe it or not though, my favorite item wasn't a beauty product, but this group of postcards they included. That's because I actually collect postcards. I try to get one from every place I've been. I haven't been to these places from the Birchbox, but I love the designs and they'd be cute on my wall.

I don't see myself using the shaving cream as I got an epilator, but I will see. Face wipes are always useful, so I'm glad this was included. I personally am not a fan of Juicy couture's perfumes. I've smelled quite a bitt at stores, so I'm not even going to try this one. I may give it away to someone who likes their scents. I don't know that I will be keeping the nail polish as I have a similar shade and I haven't been able to wear nail polish anyways. I am excited about the sunblock though as I am trying to wear it everyday.

I got these welcome messages since it was my first Birchbox ever. Also, I think that's why there's a pink exclamation point slip. I suppose when you make the order as a gift, you can choose to include a message which they only add onto the receipt paper. Not very cute on Birchbox's part, but cute on the gifter's part. Just letting you know if you plan on gifting a subscription don't count on them including a cute little card. Although I'm not so excited about most of the individual products this month, I still love the gift. It's realy exciting to recieve a package in the mail too! Overall, it is a lovely gift to anybody interested in trying out new beauty products.

*And if you're ever reading this: Thank you Donnie!*
