{Adventures} Dapper Day Fall 2014

Photo Taken by the Dapper Day Staff Person
So, I went to Disneyland's Fall Dapper Day this year with these dapper fellows. It was already exciting to be able to go to the happiest place on earth, but to see some awesomely dressed people everywhere made it even more exciting. I thought it'd be appropriate to post this for Halloween since we're Disney bounding and that's as close as I'm getting to having a costume to post.

We got to see more of the Grand Californian because the convention was held there and behind me you can see that they had many lovely things for sale and such dapper people everywhere. They also had a Photo Booth where that first picture was taken.  Before entering the room, there was so much going on in the hallway as well. Lots of booth everywhere to tempt you out of your money. I wasn't able to save enough money for shopping unfortunately. I did walk away with that cool dapper day pin I immediately put on after purchasing.

These pictures were all taken on our first day there, September 12. We spent the whole day at California Adventures so that we'd have easy access to the Grand Californian. We did the sketch studio and got a fashion illustration of ourselves. I bought this shirt too because the girl on it looks exactly like the fashion illustration of me.

Cartoon Art Museum

I know, I know, it's been so long since I posted. I'm a horrible blogger! Wahh! I'm trying my best, but school keeps me so busy! Anyways..
I went to the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco this past Saturday the 16th with a friend. It was free because they were doing a G.I. Joe movie promotion. They had cosplayers around the building and they were also giving movie passes. I'm not sure if there was any thing else for it because I was too shy to ask. I don't actually follow G.I. Joe, but I still wanted to get a picture. If anyone knows what characters they're cosplaying and tells me, then you are awesome.
The museum was pretty cool. I wasn't actually sure what type of art I would see there. I didn't really know any of the artists and most of the art was unrecognizable to me, but It all still looked so awesome!! I learned that comics started in 1906 and I read a really old comic from 1913. I thought that was really cool. The back room had a lot of Looney Tunes, so that's really what I recognized. My friend pointed out that someone illustrated a poem called Owl and Pussy (correct me if I'm wrong please) and I read it aloud. Tee hee.
Anyways, here's our picture. I'm on the furthest left if you couldn't tell. I am wearing a Captain America shield sweater (from men's section of Target) and my new hat I got from a Goorin Brothers trunk show/sample sale. Only $10! Sorry, had to plug that in. I will definitely share the info here if I hear about it soon enough.

Hello Kitty at Yogurtland with Outfit Post-ish

Last year, my sister, her bf, and I went to yogurtland upon my request. I kind of collect those cute, colorful yogurt spoons (I'll show you all my collection sometime). They were having a Hello Kitty collaboration and I just had to have some Hello Kitty spoons!

My unattractive yogurt... Somewhat melted, but very chocolate-y!

I love these yogurtland collabs because I can always get a cute character spoon out of it. I loved the Tokidoki collabs too. The cups always get a cute new look too. It never fails to keep me entertained.

Just look at how cute the characters are on the cup!

The shop kind of gets a makeover too. Here's the entrance door.

I suppose this could also be my outfit post for July 23, 2011. With my lovely sister :]
I'm just wearing my favorite pair of dark wash jeans, Mossimo v-neck, and a yellow/white stripes crop cardi from Wet Seal. For my accessories, I have on an owl necklace I borrowed from my sister (it's probably from Forever 21), a bracelet I borrowed from my mom (no idea where it's from), and a transforming backpack/messenger bag from Forever 21 (that's hidden behind me). I can't stop using it, everyone should have a transforming bag. It makes life so much easier when my one shoulder gets tired. It's perfect for students because it's big enough for notebooks.

The collab is happening again this year. Here's the info about it on the Hello Kitty Official Blog. New spoons will feature Hello Kitty, Tuxedosam, Little Twin Stars, and Badtz-maru.

June 26, 2012
Dress: Forever 21
Blouse: H&M
Hat: H&M
Belt: Forever 21
Stockings: Forever 21
Boots: Target

I went to San Francisco to celebrate my boyfriend's Birthday. It was a pretty late celebration though. We walked around Japantown and  had dinner at Pier 39. The day started out pretty nice and sunny, but the clouds rolled in. We ended up eating at Neptune's Waterfront Grill & Bar. They gave us a seat by the window and it had an amazing view! The restaurant had very dim lighting, so we had to use flash and the pictures didn't turn out that great, but here's what we ate.

San Francisco Zoo

On Friday, July 1st, Myboyfriend and I visited the San Francisco Zoo to see "Captin America". There was announcement on the website that there would be someone dressed up as Captin America and then he would have a scevenger hunt prepared for you. Sadly, he was not there because there is was a mistake in the website. He was not going to be there until Saturday.

Oh well, we still had tons of fun!

If you are ever in the San Framcisco Area, the zoo is a pretty fun place to go. It's open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from my experience, you can definately see the entire zoo in that time!

The Children's section is so fun because you can pet and feed animals there! I did not do it though because I did not want to smell like an animal for the rest of the day.

There are certain times written around the exihbits with the words Keeper Connection. If you go to the exhibit, you can watch the zookeepers work with the animals and most of the time they will give you a speech. It's very interesting. I got to watch lions and penguins get fed!
There's also a special nocturnal exhibit to watch Aye Ayes from Madagascar. It is kinda scary because it is so dark, but once your eyes adjust you get to see what may be the most active animals in the park! They run around so much! It was much more exciting than seeing the other animals lounging around. Seeing the other animals like that made me feel sad for them to be in the zoo.

Also, this summer's special exhibit is Tarantulas. It was interesting, but so creepy! Their webs really creeped me out!

Anyways, it was a super fun, but tiring day! A bit too much walking... But what can you do? At least it was fun!

My boyfriend and I did not take many pictures of the animals at all, but tons of pictures of us and animal statues and pretending to be certain animals. Tee Hee!
**I will add the pictures later -- we used my boyfriend's camera

Yestyle

This one's on YesStyle. If you haven't heard of it, they have cute Asian fashion pieces. The website sells all types of clothes for men and women. They also have shoes, bags, accessories, and make-up. They ship internationally, so it's a perfect place to shop if you like that Asian Style. They opened up a physical store in San Francisco in September 2009. On October 14 of this year, they had a College Night! They had free drinks and cookie cake the whole night. The first 50 people to walk in got free posters. They also had drawings at certain times of the night. Here are some pictures I took from the YesStyle Blog. Here we are waiting in line for the store to open. It was probably around 5:50 p.m. and it was about to open. I'm the one wearing white shorts and a black and white plaid top. And not looking Xp In line to receive posters: Here are my friends and I with our posters. I got Wonder Girls! I love YesStyle and I spend too much time at their store in Stonestown. I should just work there! They may not want me though because I mostly window shop Xp

Valentine's Day

My Boyfriend took me out for a Valentine's Date! EXCEPT! IT wasn't Valentine's. He took me out on the 12th because he had to go back home to spend the 14th with his mother for her birthday. He's such a sweetie.

He gave me red tulips ( I have ALWAYS wanted red tulips for Valentine's Day) and a new dress in the morning which I wore out. He totally lied to me the day before in order to surprise me. Tried to make me think we wouldn't do any Valentine's stuff until a week or so after.

He took me to the CROWN & CRUMPET!!!! I've wanted to go there ever since I first visited Ghirardelli Square and laid my eyes on the cutee, super pink, tea shop. Sadly, I couldn't go that day because it was a short visit.

Picturees of thee day:

YAY! It's OPEN!!!

The place looked so cute and pretty overall. Pictures can't do justice to the feeling you get being inside and seeing everything!

The entire shop was decorated, including the tables. This was just mine. Every table was unique, just like everything in the shop.

Where did all the food and tea go?!?! We filled our tummys! xD

AOD/My First Lolita Outfit

This past Saturday I attended AOD: Animation On Display 2010 in Japantown, San Francisco. It was my first time going to that convention. I went with my "friend" Brendon. I figured it'd be great to wear my first Lolita outfit to Japantown and get to visit Baby the Stars Shine Bright ^_^

I went for Saturday only and it was a great way to end my first week of classes. Although, I never did get rest until last night >.<
I don't have a camera so, I didn't get to take any pictures. Brendon had his camera and was cosplaying Noctis from one of the Final Fantasy games. We had a mini-photoshoot with his dying camera at the end of the night at a cathedral.

Brendon is now my boyfriend ^_^
I was asked out at the end of the night!

How lovely, my first lolita outfit, my first time at AOD, and getting a boyfriend ^_^

Getting ready in the morning! Heap of clothes xD

Getting ready in the morning. Here's my heap of clothes for the day, lying on my bed in front of my closet.
